A high school student in the United States will be allowed to wear a nose stud to class so long as she is with a religious group that practices body modification. Officials with the Johnston County Schools in North Carolina have dropped their appeal of a federal judge's order allowing Ariana Iacono to attend class with the nose piercing. The school dress code forbids facial piercings, but Iacono belongs to the Church of Body Modification, where piercings and tattoos are part of religious practice. AP
