Web-centric course
The department of systems engineering and engineering management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong is offering a Master of Science in E-Commerce and Logistics Technologies to educate talent in business and information technology, internet-related technologies and internet business management.
Programme director Professor Cai Xiaoqiang says the course strikes a balance between technology and business concepts. "Logistics technologies in our programme do not only include traditional transportation logistics of moving cargoes from one location to another, but also all kinds of operational logistics associated with running a business and making use of the internet," he says, adding that they attract executives and professionals from banks, investment firms, logistics and IT companies, and government.
