MSc in Management
CityU SCOPE
Wu Siu-wai, business development director at an electronics factory, enrolled in a master of science (MSc) in management programme as he thinks it's a great way to reacquaint himself with theory while absorbing ideas on innovative management.
The programme, offered by De Montfort University through the School of Continuing and Professional Education (SCOPE) of the City University of Hong Kong (CityU), is ideal for busy executives such as Wu.
"The course on critical perspectives strengthened the theories I've learned and made me think of problems from various perspectives," says Wu. "Classes are on Friday evenings and on [weekends] so my working hours are hardly disrupted."
Dr Johnny Leung, the associate programme director, says many of their students are busy middle managers or higher.
