update on Saturday, July 3, 2010

Market changes and increasing demand for products and services mean that New World Telecom is looking for professional salespeople.

Candidates should want to make a career in sales, and need to have business acumen and a good understanding of telecom technology.

"Fresh graduates will be considered," says David Li, director of human resources. "We will provide training and development opportunities, and individuals who demonstrate talent and commitment will have excellent chances for career progression."

Main responsibilities will include planning and recommending the most efficient and cost-effective telecom services to customers. It will also be necessary to manage projects and help with applications for new telecom facilities. In addition, recruits will be expected to provide after-sales service and handle customer inquiries.

The training programme ensures that those joining the company have in-depth knowledge of continuing projects and technical aspects of the service infrastructure. It also provides the necessary professional skills in leadership, and supervising others by means of seminars, workshops and experiential training.

"We are looking for candidates who are customer-focused and have a passion for business," Li says. "They ought to have a certain understanding about our company's background and the nature of our business to enable a two-way discussion during the job interview."
