University graduates in pole position

One in four women who work as lap dancers in Britain have university degrees, and the majority of those in the industry enjoy their work, academic research has found. According to a University of Leeds study of 300 lap dancers, many women go into lap dancing for the money. "[They are] making the money out of a three-minute dance and a bit of a chat," says Dr Teela Sanders, one of the researchers. Most lap dancers earn an annual income of between £24,000 (HK$287,306) and £48,000. Reuters
