La Parole is the latest addition to the increasingly sophisticated local French dining scene. It features an understated and inviting design scheme matched by food overseen by a chef who trained at Michelin-starred establishments. Having served as head chef of the Belgian pavilion at the Expo 2010 in Shanghai, executive chef Eric Taluy's traditional French cooking is the main attraction.

With picture-perfect presentations and modern cooking methods, La Parole's French menu is seasonal and includes items such as foie gras in truffle sauce, roast veal in red wine sauce and black fungus, seafood imported from France, and a supreme selection of desserts. The last items do not really come as a surprise as La Parole is connected to the Leonidas Chocolate group in Hong Kong. Thus, one can expect to find authentically made creme brulees and cream puffs. La Parole has affordable prices and does not use MSG either. What's more, a big chunk of its takings help fund speech therapy for low-income children at local non-profit group Benji's Centre.

The restaurant is perfect for working lunch or meeting over dinner. The refined environment features classy chandeliers and low-key leather chairs.
