As one of the world's largest lighting manufacturers, Osram is hiring to keep pace with business and operational expansion plans.
"We need marketing professionals and application engineers with knowledge of solid-state lighting and regional exposure in Asia," says Elim Fan, senior regional HR director for Osram Asia-Pacific.
Marketing responsibilities will include developing strategies and initiating projects for new target areas. It will also be necessary to collaborate with sales teams and gather market intelligence to define strategies and execute product-entry programmes. Another duty will entail benchmarking against the competition and developing product, pricing and business plans.
Osram is looking for people who are curious about details yet open-minded. Candidates should be highly motivated, inquisitive and keen to put their skills and knowledge to work in a diverse international environment.
"These qualities will allow you to think outside the box and come up with forward-looking ideas," Fan says. "In Osram, we must be able to answer the toughest questions to ensure sustainable and profitable growth."
There is an emphasis on technical and product training for engineers and specialists in other areas. "We have our own learning campus where employees can broaden their management knowledge, improve their skills and further their careers. We reward staff with a competitive remuneration package that includes a performance-based bonus scheme and a share-matching programme," Fan says.
