Managing stress in the office will help you cope with your workload and develop a positive attitude. You need to plan your day around crucial tasks and set aside time for yourself.

It is also essential to consult your colleagues when you encounter difficulties at work.

Prioritising

It is important to determine the most urgent tasks for the day and to manage the amount of time needed to complete them. If unsure, ask your manager for advice. Low-priority responsibilities can be scheduled for a later date or delegated to another colleague. Being able to put all your energy into a major project - rather than doing other tasks that can be done the next day - will alleviate stress.

Organising your day

Once you have defined your priorities, organise your day around them. For example, approach larger projects early in the day when you are most focused and take on administrative duties later. You can be more efficient by grouping similar tasks. You will then be able to minimise stress as you complete a range of activities.

Balancing work and play

You must also take time out for yourself to de-stress and improve productivity. You can do exercise or sports, have lunch with friends or join a social club.

Talking to your team

It is also essential to discuss your concerns with your teammates and manager. Sharing your worries and receiving guidance from team members is an effective way to relieve stress.
