I have been searching for position as a commis 1 or better if possible in restaurants and hotels in Hong Kong and would like to request some advice on my options. I have past working experience in hotel chains and part-time jobs as a cook in medium scale restaurants. Now graduating from IMI with a Degree in European Culinary Management in Switzerland. With my roots as a chinese malaysian I would like work in Hong Kong. I am fluent in mandarin-chinese, cantonese-chinese, english and german (Fair). What are the posibility to get a job in specifically HK as my option. Is there any opportunity or rather a challenge? What are my chances?
You can also consider Macau, not just HK. I would say Macau may have a higher chance as there are more hotels there and hospitality industry is expanding there. Probably easier to get work visa there too.
