42 with a Master Degree, I think you are still competitive. Try looking for jobs in the field you used to work in.

Any job in any industry, do you mean it? You shouldn't have been sitting at home still if you really do, how about an hourly paid job at a convenience store or fastfood joint?

You need to wake up ASAP as there is no time to waste! You're no fresh grad, you're 42 with somewhat over 20 years of work experience, and yet you don't have a focus and don't even know what you can do and capable of?

Please, face this cruel reality, there're too many MBAs around, full time, part time, distance learning, local and overseas, just having a Masters under your belt won't get you a job!

What have you been doing? What are you good at doing? You need to find out what you have to sell and offer to be able to find a job, hurry up!

Having a Master degree, especially one from distance learning, will not get you a job. It is your past working experiences that count. Do these experiences give you competitive advantage? That means, do your competitors (other job applicants) also have similar experiences? If so, that means a lot others are going after the same job whenever it is advertised. What makes you stand out from the crowd?
It is quite naive to think that there is absolutely no age discrimination in the job market. At your age, it is common that one may face difficulties in finding a job.
