Prudential Hong Kong is hiring for its life operations, filling positions in underwriting and issue, policy administration and customer services. Jobs are also available in the finance section, IT and human resources.
Candidates for managerial level positions are required to have a minimum of seven to 10 years' experience, but their qualifications will also be looked at and their competency rigorously tested.
"We are looking for applicants who are customer-oriented, have a strong business sense and knowledge of industry trends. These skills fit our company's culture and environment," explains human resources director Kerry Rooks. They should also be fluent in Putonghua and English.
Required soft skills depend on the nature of the job, but a strong commitment and a positive attitude will be expected of all applicants.
"All employees need to work individually and perform well by themselves. However, teamwork is also required. They must be good team players who can share best practices, ideas and their experience within the department," Rooks says.
Prudential's training and development programmes consist of executive sharing sessions, management simulation workshops, leadership skill training, executive financial management workshops and mentorship programmes.
