About 70 per cent of university students in Hong Kong are willing to work on the mainland after graduation, Xinhua reports. A survey by the Hong Kong United Youth Association, which canvassed 460 students from six universities in Hong Kong, found that Shanghai was the respondents' first choice, followed by Beijing. More training places to fill jobs in booming industries
The Australian government is offering training to people under 25 who want to find a job in booming industries, ABC Rural reports. It will provide up to 39,000 training places in infrastructure, construction, renewable energy and resources. "We need to train more Australians and not rely too heavily on skilled migration to solve skills shortages," says Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard.
