Turkish Airlines has grounded 28 flight attendants for being overweight, and has given them six months to slim down or face reassignment. The employees, 13 of whom are women, are on unpaid leave until they lose weight,
Worker, 101, honoured
A 101-year-old woman in the United States has been chosen as America's Outstanding Oldest Worker for 2010. Sally Gordon, pictured, has been an assistant sergeant-at-arms for the Nebraska Legislature for 26 years, helping with its day-to-day operations when it is in session. Before that, she worked as a secretary for three Nebraska governors. "I [also] used to be a model," Gordon says. "Now, I feel like a model T." Still, she has no plans to retire and advises young people to "try to learn new techniques, listen and be kind to co-workers".
Hong Kong firms seek retail and catering staff
The Labour Department will host a series of recruitment fairs to fill positions in retail and catering in the coming week.
