Refreshing strawberry and mango smoothies, and healthy beetroot and raspberry yogurt have become the new favourites of customers visiting Sprout, an organic and natural food outlet that opened in Tsim Sha Tsui last month.
The latest member of the Organic Land group, a distributor of more than 100 foreign-sourced natural and organic products, with retail stores in MTR stations in Central, Wan Chai and Tin Hau, Sprout is located at The ONE, the new shopping and restaurant arcade on Nathan Road. It is a five-to-10-minute walk from the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station.
The eatery offers both sit-down dining - accommodating about 32 guests - and takeaway and retail services.
Popular food products include organic sprout flaxseeds, which is available in powdered form and can be mixed with drinks, and organic mulberry, which can serve as a snack, or be blended with soups and beverages for health-conscious individuals.
Sprout imports much of its food and other products from countries including the United States, Britain, Australia, Japan and New Zealand.
Slim organic, a nutritious but low-calorie dish designed for those who are concerned about their diet and fitness, comes with a choice of either a pancake or mushroom, or bacon flavoured omelette, plus a bowl of mushroom or mixed vegetable soup, or a glass of grapefruit, or mango and peach smoothie. According to Sprout, Slim organic is made from ingredients supplied by a French company called Laboratoire PYC.
Sprout opens from noon to 10pm on Mondays to Fridays, and from 11.30am to 10.30pm over the weekend.
