Diners who are easily charmed by ambience will be delighted by the concept store Homeless' new expansion at TheONE shopping centre. The cafe restaurant is sandwiched between Homeless' latest offshoot, Lost & Found, and the new Broadway Cinema on the same floor. FULL/half is a great chill-out place before or after a weekend matinee, where diners enjoy quality food and design magazines.
Everything - from its decor, to furniture, tableware, disposable placemats, restaurant cards and baristas' uniforms - carries a design concept. The minimalist setting is in subdued black, white and grey. Observant diners will notice the vintage-style mosaic floor, while iconic designer chairs are welcome eye candy. A cabinet against the back wall displays designer items that Homeless store experts have brought back from all over the world.
The restaurant is divided into two areas - one provides full-table service, the other offers coffee, desserts and light snacks. A plant screen elegantly shields the dining tables at the back from the more open cafe at the front. The menu includes soups (HK$30), salads (HK$48), appetisers and all-day breakfast food, including focaccias (HK$40), full British breakfast (HK$88), and eggs benedict (HK$68). There are hot and iced drinks, tea and smoothies, from HK$20 to HK$38, beer (HK$28) and wine (HK$105). Home-made desserts include banana toffee pie (HK$32), plus cookie bars and biscotti (HK$18). Set dinner (HK$165 or HK$195) includes soup, salad, coffee or dessert, with a main course of four choices: pan-fried salmon, linguini with prawns and capers, grilled striploin or roasted black cod.
