Short for "South of Hollywood Road", the SoHo district is home to an eclectic mix of trendy dining options - perfect for a casual business lunch or a quick dinner after work. Italian eatery Mostaccioli Brothers is among the newest to the area - it's also among the more interesting.
Named after a type of penne resembling tiny moustaches, a theme that finds its way throughout the restaurant - right down to the manager, who grew a "mostaccioli" just for the job - the venue specialises in hearty American-Italian classics, and a few rarities.
The baked mostaccioli is the house favourite. Cooked to al dente perfection and stuffed with Italian sausage, it's a guilty pleasure that's well worth the extra calories.
If you're stuck for sides or starters, try the red peppers with goat's cheese, or simple yet delectable marinated baby octopus. The green olives are also a delight, each stuffed with jet-fresh Norwegian salmon. For something more unique, there's the veal scaloppini marsala, an American import that's rarely seen outside the United States.
Located a block from the Central-Mid-Levels escalator, which connects you directly to the main business district and Airport Express terminal via an overhead walkway, the restaurant is ideal for those in town on business.
