The new telepresence facility at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong offers businesspeople a platform to hold virtual meetings with clients and colleagues around the world.
Enabled by AT&T and Cisco technologies, the Virtual Meetings by Marriott studio is available at seven Marriott Hotels and Resorts, JW Marriott Hotels, and Renaissance Hotels worldwide.
Hong Kong is the sixth telepresence studio to open in a Marriott branded hotel, and the first in Asia. Others include Renaissance Washington, A JW Marriott London and New York Marriott East Side. The facility in JW Marriott Shanghai will open later this month.
Located on the 30th floor of JW Marriott Hong Kong, the telepresence studio is 65 square metres, and can seat six to 12 people.
By combining high-definition video, real time audio and modern interior design, it offers opportunities for hotel guests and other businesspeople to hold more productive and collaborative meetings with individuals from up to eight locations.
The studio is connected to an executive boardroom, which is equipped with an LCD television and offers breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour. The boardroom accommodates eight people.
The facility - studio and boardroom inclusive - is available for hire at US$500 an hour.
Virtual Meetings by Marriott studios are able to connect to one another and public Cisco TelePresence Suites, and other companies on the AT&T Business Exchanges. There are more than 1,000 existing endpoints worldwide connected to the AT&T Business Exchanges.
