Finding a slot in a packed schedule can be tedious. Fortunately, Free-Time helps to streamline that process with a filtered search to track down open entries based on your preferred time and type of activity.
For example, if you're looking to host an extended lunch this month on a Thursday or Friday, simply enter a few touch-commands and the application will cross-reference your daily routine with your calendar for the next four weeks. And, in a matter of seconds, you'll have a full list of available slots.
This, in turn, can be edited and then sent out to your dining companions via email or SMS.
Taking advantage of the iPhone's Bluetooth technology, the software also allows you to cross-check your open entries with those of another Free-Time user simply by bumping handsets with them. Almost instantly, both devices will pull up a list of available slots, saving you the unnecessary trouble of thumbing through your calendar week by week.
For all this to work, of course, the application requires users to enter some routine information, such as their working hours and meal times.
Beyond that, it's really just a matter of keeping an eye on things and making the most of your free time.
