Application ActiveList
Platforms iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch
Price US$0.99
ActiveList has been creating quite a stir of late.
Like its many counterparts, the software offers all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a sturdy list manager. The only difference is it's actually worth the price, particularly in light of its advanced features.
The simple and uncluttered "List" screen arranges items alphabetically and, similar to other iOS apps, allows you to alter or remove entries via the "Edit" function.
To enter a new item, simply select it from the "Items" tab - a short selection of commonly used entries - or reactivate it from the "History" tab, a comprehensive inventory of all previously listed items. Manual entries are, of course, possible as well.
For power-users, the app also allows for item tracking, to help you better gauge how often each entry is reactivated. A listing-interval screen, meanwhile, allows you to set the reactivation rate from the start, making it an ideal tool for jotting down periodical events such as due dates for utility bills.
As for the format and frequency of entry reminders, the app's messaging tab provides a whole host of notification options.
With its generous range of features and a slick, intuitive interface, it's safe to say that ActiveList is definitely worth its price tag.
